Behavioural Expectations

Employees are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that reflects the values of Caribbean Mixup. This includes maintaining professionalism, demonstrating patience, and approaching challenges with a solution focused mindset. Staff must treat all individuals with dignity and avoid behaviours that may cause discomfort, conflict, or disruption.

Staff must follow all workplace procedures, including those related to food hygiene, safety, customer service, and operational routines. Instructions from supervisors must be followed promptly and respectfully, with questions raised when clarification is needed.

Communication Standards

Communication must remain clear, respectful, and free from sarcasm or raised voices. Staff are expected to listen actively, share information in a timely manner, and avoid personal conversations in customer facing areas. Professional language must be used at all times, and disagreements should be handled calmly and privately.

Representation of the Business

Employees represent Caribbean Mixup both inside and outside the workplace. Staff must maintain appropriate behaviour when wearing uniform, interacting with customers, or discussing the business. Conduct that damages the reputation of the business, including inappropriate online activity, is not acceptable.

Responsibilities

All employees are responsible for upholding this policy. Supervisors are responsible for modelling expected behaviour, providing guidance, and addressing concerns promptly. The owner and consultant supervisor are responsible for ensuring that the policy is applied consistently and fairly.

Monitoring and Review

This policy will be reviewed annually or sooner if required. Feedback from staff may be considered as part of the review process to ensure that the policy remains relevant, fair, and aligned with the values of Caribbean Mixup.
